David Cannings is a Director in PwC UK's Cyber Security practice, specialising in cyber resilience. He advises boards and security teams on responding to incidents and, crucially, on what to change afterwards — translating the lessons of real crises into resilience that survives contact with the next attack.
David has led response investigations for organisations of every size, across government, retail, telecoms and consumer brands, dealing with everything from ransomware and organised criminal fraud to sophisticated nation-state espionage. He also works with PwC's Global Threat Intelligence team to build the capability organisations need to detect and investigate attacks at scale.
