Elizabeth Bullock
Few Westerners have spent three years in frontline areas of Ukraine post 2022. Operating up to 1km from the line of contact on a daily basis, Elizabeth lived and worked principally in the eastern Donbas and the southern (Kherson) front.
Having returned to the UK, Elizabeth’s focus is to support the advancement of British and European readiness by sharing her particular knowledge of Russia’s modern conventional and hybrid warfare. Her direct experience of Russia’s grey zone tactics, and what a whole-of-society approach means in practice, is combined with her thorough understanding of Russian doctrine towards the UK, Europe and the West.
She has given briefings and spoken at NATO ARRC, Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Royal Air Force Cyberspace, British Army regiments, the Defence Academy, MOD defence industry conferences, European maritime and cyber conferences (Norway, Ireland), and defence technology investment and innovation events.
Before working in Ukraine, Elizabeth spent a decade scaling start-ups, including defence intelligence technology.
