Ignasi Fontanals is a Barcelona-based resilience strategist and entrepreneur. He co-founded a university spin-off that developed an early operational urban-resilience platform, deployed across three European cities under an EU research programme.  As a UNDRR consultant, he has led SME and public-sector resilience initiatives in several European cities. His current work focuses on making resilience measurable and investable by developing business models that link SME certification, digital tools and the financial sector. He also advises technology companies and cities on crisis and emergency management, as well as urban-services governance, helping translate regional, national and international frameworks into operational practice.
