Jonathan Rake

CEO Risk Data Solutions , Swiss Re

Jonathan Rake was appointed CEO of Swiss Re Risk Data Solutions with effect from 1 January 2025. In this function, Jonathan is responsible for oversight and management of Swiss Re Risk Data Solutions business. This includes developing and executing the business and financial plans in line with the Division's financial targets.

Jonathan joined Swiss Re in 2016, where he started as Head of South-East Asia for Corporate Solutions and additionally held the role of CEO of Swiss Re International Singapore Branch. He then progressed to the role of Corporate Solutions' Regional CEO Asia Pacific while also serving as Chairman of the Swiss Re Corporate Solutions China Board.

Prior to joining Swiss Re, Jonathan worked for Zurich Insurance Group from 2002 to 2016. From 2012 until 2016, he served as CEO Principal Officer Zurich Singapore General Insurance & Country CEO. His other previous roles included Head Business Development and Operations, Chief Operating Officer Global Corporate Asia Pacific, and Strategy Assistant to the CEO Global Corporate.

Jonathan is a 2014 World Economic Forum Young Global Leader. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Economics and Commercial Law) from the University of Stellenbosch. Jonathan Rake was born in 1979 and is a dual citizen of South Africa and the UK.
