A fire officer for 30 years. Extensive experience in disaster risk management and operational deployments in France, Europe, Euromed region and South America. Expert with the Civil Protection Mechanism; participates in drills, advisory missions, peer reviews and thematic expert groups. 

Member of advisory boards for European projects and consortia. 

He has worked for the French Ministry of the Interior, within the Directorate-General for Civil Security, at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, at the Union for the Mediterranean, and at the French Embassy in Amman (Jordan). 

He currently works as a consultant in Civil Defence and Resilience at Soprate Steria.
