Mikael Balslev Rasmussen

Mikael Balslev Rasmussen is a senior security and resilience executive with more than 25 years of international leadership experience across logistics, media, retail, consultancy, government, and environments. He is currently Global Head of Security & Business Resilience at the logistics company A.P. Moller – Maersk, with responsibility for protecting its 100.000 employees, assets, operations, and brand integrity across land, sea, and air activities in more than 130 countries. His remit covers geopolitics, threat intelligence, crisis management, business continuity, illicit cargo, supply-chain loss prevention, investigations, executive protection, crisis management, and resilience strategy across the Group. Before joining Maersk, he held senior security leadership roles at Sky News Arabia and retail company BESTSELLER. His earlier career includes service in the Danish Armed Forces and operational roles in training, close protection, and security consulting. He holds a master’s degree in security management from University of Leicester (UK). He is also a certified Career Coach and owner of a small coaching and advisory firm called Heartpoint.dk.
