Geneva Center for Business and Human Rights (GCBHR)

The Geneva Center for Business and Human Rights (GCBHR) at the University of Geneva’s School of Economics and Management was founded in 2019 as the first center for business and human rights at a business school in Europe. The Center bridges academic research and real-world practice, working directly with companies, investors, and policymakers to advance the implementation of human rights due diligence (HRDD) across global supply chains. Its research is distinctively practice-oriented: grounded in fieldwork, case studies, and direct engagement with affected communities, and designed to produce outputs that are as useful to companies as to researchers and policymakers.
