Learning from the Edge: How Emerging Technologies is Empowering Resilience in Emerging Nations?
When resources and budget are constrained, it generates innovative thinking to solve problems. In emerging nations, this can take the form of creative usage of existing materials, or by embracing new technologies. The result is often a paradox, where new tools and technology are rapidly adopted in poorer, more challenging operating environments, whilst richer nations struggle to make the business case to replace existing technology. This session looks at the lessons that can be learnt for all from the clever use of techniques from Earth Observation, to AI and NextGen communications tools.
