Dawson Law is a geopolitical advisor and former U.S. diplomat specializing in economic statecraft and geopolitical risk. As Founder of Conseil Global Advisors, he leads a team of former government officials advising companies, investors, and risk and compliance professionals on geopolitical risk, market entry, and investment opportunities, as well as sanctions, export controls, investment screening, government engagement, and scenario-based simulations. 

He most recently served as the U.S. Department of the Treasury Representative to the United Kingdom, working at the center of U.S.-UK, G7, and EU coordination on sanctions and economic security. He previously served as a Senior Policy Advisor at the U.S. sanctions authority, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), where he represented the U.S. Treasury at 100s of White House meetings. He served as a U.S. diplomat for over a decade, with postings in Sudan, Poland, Vietnam, and Australia. 

He is a frequent commentator on global economic and security issues, appearing on the BBC and quoted in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and other leading outlets. He writes for IISS and Oxford Analytica.
