Gautier Porot
Gautier oversees the Global Crisis management practice within International SOS branch Consulting & Solutions and is based at the International SOS offices in Geneva.
Gautier brings over 20 years of experience in corporate Resilience and is internationally recognized as an expert in crisis management.
He supports and accompanies numerous strategic entities operating around the World, enabling them to prepare, respond and recover effectively to critical and extraordinary situations.
Prior to his role at International SOS, Gautier was the lead organizer and general coordinator for the visit of Pope Francis to Geneva and the 40’000 pilgrims Mass. He operated as a Senior Consultant providing strategic risk management advisory services for High-Net-Worth individuals in high-risk locations (i.e., Ivory Coast, Iraq, Niger, Egypt, Soudan, Mexico). Gautier was the Head of Security, Crisis and strategic information Officer of the Federal Palace in Bern directly advising the Council of Ministers on strategic resilience matters. He served as a Commanding Officer and Army Instructor in the Swiss Armed Forces, but also as a Swiss Guard at the Vatican.
Gautier actively engages in a range of events and conferences in his field of expertise. Notably, he co-chairs the IMD Business School/International SOS Resilience Circle, a though leadership initiative which gathers some of the top 100 Global Resilience Leaders.
Gautier POROT has various active academic mandates where he teaches Operational Resilience and Crisis management, notably at IMD Business School (OWP Program) in Lausanne.
Gautier is a member of Working Group 9 under ISO/TC 292 – the committee responsible for developing the ISO 22361:2022 guidelines on crisis management.
Gautier still holds active reserve military positions and is ranked Major (NATO-OF 3), His last role was as Chief of Staff & 2iC of the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion.
Gautier holds an Executive MBA of IMD Business School and a Master’s in criminology of Panthéon ASSAS - Université Paris II.
Gautier was knighted in 2018 by HH Pope Francis in the Pontifical Order of Saint-Sylvester Pope.
