Organisational resilience is often defined through structures, processes, plans and technology. Yet in a crisis, these are only as effective as the people who use them. When familiar assumptions no longer apply and proven answers stop working, resilience becomes a matter of how we think. 

This presentation explores how people and organisations respond to problems, uncertainty and change. Why do we hold on to familiar patterns of behaviour? What enables us to absorb new information, reconsider our assumptions and remain capable of acting under pressure? 

Insights from learning psychology help explain the roles of attention, motivation, feedback, repetition and practical experience. The presentation then shows how modern learning formats can translate these insights into practice, enabling people to test decisions, reflect on experience and develop more adaptive patterns of behaviour. 

The central message is simple: an organisation is not resilient because it already has all the answers. It is resilient because it can question existing answers, learn from experience and adapt faster as circumstances change.
